Having initially gained a PhD in physics, Julia has since spent 20 years in STM publishing, working both within established publishing organisations and also as an independent consultant. From 2008-2012, Julia undertook the role of Project Manager for PEER (Publishing and the Ecology of European Research), a €4.2 Million EC supported multi-stakeholder project investigating the effects of large scale Green Open Access.
