The scholarly communications sector includes many different career paths – publishers, librarians, technology innovators, and standards developers among them – that intersect in SSP. We share many similarities in our work, common pitfalls and successes, and many nuggets of knowledge that can be shared across the industry. What are these pitfalls? What is the next big innovation in scholarly communication? How do you keep yourself from reinventing the past?
This open session brings together a panel from across the scholarly communications sector, to discuss the joys and difficulties within our industry. Strong audience participation will be actively encouraged through questions and answers, hand thrown surveys and an active Twitter back-channel.
