The first section of this paper briefly relates my experience writing and printing documents until I began to us TeX. The second section summarizes why I now use TeX and gives examples of its benefits, particularly writing books. Section 3 touches on the advantage of being able to use a separate powerful text editor, since TeX does not require use of a built in editor.
